WhatsApp Group Call Extension now in Beta
WhatsApp has allowed group audio and video calls since 2018 but with the limit of having upto 4 participants, you as the caller and three other recepients. With the growing threat of the global pandemic, and multiple lockdowns and quarantine from different countries, that limit is not enought to stay connected with your family and friends.
An update to the WhatsApp beta channel improves this by raising the limit to 8 participants for the first few users. To check if you can use the new feature, make sure that you have the latest WhatsApp beta version, go to the calls tab and tap the new call button and choose the group call option and check if the top bar tells you that you can add up to 7 participants.
Please be reminded that as of the moment not all can use the feature if they don’t have an updated app.
The feature is live for some on WhatsApp beta version 2.20.133.
Persuasive Design: Guiding Customers to the Right Direction
We design our websites to attract clients and visitors through aestethics, yes, but did you know that beautifying your website needs more than just being artistic and creative? Yes, designing needs more thought than you might think.
One of the ways how we design a website is when we consider how we can persuade visitors to become customers. This type of design is what we call persuasive design. Persuasive design is about creating experience that guides your visitors to make an intended action. To create a persuasive design, one needs more understanding about visitor psychology.
To start creating a persuasive design, always remember that your design won’t work for everybody, so you must consider who your target audience is. Once you know who you want to target, then you can crea
- Provide visitors a sense of control over your website. Create interfaces that are not just functional but also engaging. Designs that encourage your visitors to actually interact with your website. For example, instead of just adding a search bar, why not design a filter system for your website; this way, visitors can control how they can search data in your website.
- Follow these steps; your website should give visitors motivation to accomplish a task, give them the ability to perform that task without too much effort, and a trigger for the visitor to act and start the task.
- Give visitors an option to skip introductions. Let them leave if they want to but give them a gateway to return where they left off. Don’t let your visitors feel trapped in your workflow.
- Personalize your information as it is more effective than generic data.
- Provide positive enforcement to you visitors. Letting them know that they are doing well gives them an added sense of engagement and more drive.
- Take advantage of slight triggers to perform an action. You can do it by designing notifications, alerts, emails, sms, or call to action links.
