This can be done by measuring user experience (UX) with actual evidence instead of opinions. UX can be measured with metrics derived from qualitative and quantitative methods of evaluating products and services. These metrics are used to help refine offerings and better benefit users.

Before moving forward with collecting data, they must first decide which metrics to use, make sure that they’re both qualitative and quantitative, and establish clear timeframes to understand emerging trends.

It is recommended that UX success be measured with usability. Here’s a quick guide for doing so:

Assess task success rate. This works with tasks that have clearly defined goals, e.g. signup process, adding items to a shopping cart, etc.

Determine task completion time. The less time the user spends on a task, the better the UX.

Measure retention rate. See what percentage of users continue using the product or service over time.

Figure out the conversion percentage. Measure how much users perform a desired action.

Calculate error rate. The formula: the number of errors divided by the number of attempts made.

Estimate customer satisfaction levels. This can be done through satisfaction surveys, social media monitoring, etc.

Evaluate with heuristics, which are predefined and time-tested usability principles.. A heuristic analysis involves identifying usability issues of digital offerings and rating their severity.

Most Accessible Video Conferencing Tools

The following are the most accessible video conferencing apps and what their strong points are:

Zoom – provides a consistently high level of access.

Slack – is great for threaded work chat and spontaneous video conversations.

Microsoft Teams – is an alternative to Slack for organizations with Office 365 Enterprise license.

Facetime – is most suitable for one-on-one video calls.

Google Meet – has automatic captions available.

Facts that Web Developers Should Tell Their Clients

When people decide to hire a web developer to create their website, they have to understand that they’re making an investment, and it’s not a passive investment that will take care of itself once it’s up. Here are a couple of website facts that web developers must ensure their clients realize:

CMS, plugins, custom codes all need regular updates.

     • Changes to programming language will require rewriting of codes.
• Commercial software licenses have to be kept up.

Website content needs and relevant technologies evolve. It’s important to keep up.

     • Third party apps may disappear, requiring a switch to an alternative.
• Trends shift at break-neck speed. To avoid looking dated, a website must be able to adapt as needed.

Businesses should find out if their products and services are both satisfying and easy to use.
